Sofia is pushing forward with the implementation of a project for the reconstruction of the city center. The total volume of the investment necessary to overhaul the image of the metropolitan center has risen to €31m. With that in mind, the municipality just applied for European funding for €255,000, presenting project documentation (technical and financial analysis) and it plans to obtain the rest of the needed funds through the operational European program “Regions in Growth”.
Construction work is expected to start on two zones in June 2018 according to a design prepared by the architectural studio ADA.
