The government has decided to tighten up and a solemn declaration of work stay is no longer enough. From midnight on Friday to Saturday, each guest must provide proof of confirmation from the employer or customer in the case of self-employed persons. Owners of accommodation facilities are already reporting a significant decrease in reservations.
Renting is still allowed and people who rent a cottage or apartment can spend the night in the mountains. “If it is a lease agreement, then it is possible to use this,” said Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček (YES).
According to the mayor of Železná Ruda in Šumava, Filip Smola, this is not a problem in hotel complexes and boarding houses. “I don’t usually meet anyone there, and I have no news that people are coming massively under the pretext of a business trip.
