Somaco, which manufactures building materials, invested €1.8m into the modernization of its autoclaved aerated concrete plant in Adjud. The project was financed by the company’s own funds as well as grants from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014.
“After a year, when we started the project, one of our objectives in the short-term was to increase production efficiency and improve product quality by aligning the equipment of the factory in Adjud to modern standards,” said Sorin Miron, general manager of Somaco.
Somaco Group posted a turnover of €36m in 2015. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of autoclaved aerated concrete on the Romanian market.
