The Belgian company Sonaca secured a €7.8m loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to build a factory in Cluj, 30 km from Cluj-Napoca.
The factory will produce components for aircraft wings for companies like Airbus and Embraer. Completion is set for early 2018. Sonaca also operates factories in Belgium, Brazil, Canada and China.
