According to sales analyses by Club Noteges, Spain’s leading industry trade association, the price of residential properties rose by 5.42 percent in 2015, following three years of sharp decreases. The company noted that the highest average sales price this year was recorded in Madrid at €196,749 while Castilla-La Mancha came in last at €69,976. Club Noteges members sold 3,054 homes last year for more than €384m. Data collected from these sales indicate that regional and municipal elections had a significant impact on prices, which appear to return to ‘normal’ once the elections are completed.
