Spar Hungary renewed its contracts with its own meat plant, TANN Hungary Ltd., as well as with the Trade Union of the Commercial Employees. A spokesperson for Spar Hungary said the most important points during negotiations for the the company surrounded annual profits, employee rights and keeping the wage compensation system intact. Renewing the contracts were necessary after the new labor code went into effect on July 1. Spar Hungary was the fifth largest Hungarian employer in 2011.
