7 February 2023

SPEEDWELL announced that it will be installing photovoltaic panels on two of its developments, RECORD PARK in Cluj and MIRO in Bucharest. The company is committed to making its properties more sustainable and reducing its environmental footprint.

Stating with February 2023, SPEEDWELL will begin the installation of a 400 kWp photovoltaic installation on the roof of MIRO. The project is being contracted by WIREN, represented through Dan Flesariu, and is expected to be completed by the end of March.

The same action will be taken for RECORD PARK Offices, the office building, part of a mixed-use ensemble with the same name, located in Cluj-Napoca. In March 2023, 150 kWp of photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of RECORD PARK and the stand-alone sport center combined.

“We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and making our properties more sustainable. The decision to install photovoltaic panels on MIRO and RECORD PARK is a natural, yet significant step in achieving our goal of continuous improvement in developing sustainable real estate assets. We believe that by investing in renewable energy, we can not only reduce our carbon footprint but also provide cost savings for our tenants,” said Didier Balcaen, SPEEDWELL’s CEO and Co-Founder.

“We are honored working togehter with Speedwell to contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint in the two most crowded and active cities of Romania. Our objective is to offer adequate solutions to all who believe and are committed to making a difference in the future of this planet. The beauty is that caring for the environment comes hand in hand with energy independence, which we support both for corporate consumers, and residential ones,” said Dan Fleșariu, CEO WIREN.
