Speedwell, which bought the land from the Griro platform in Bucharest, is taking steps to authorize the first phase of the giant project. The first homes would be delivered in three years.
“We presented the master plan last week, everything is fine, we also presented what facilities the locals will have, some clarifications were requested, and the communication with the City Hall is good,” said Didier Balcaen, one of the founders of Speedwell and CEO.
In parallel with the authorization process, Speedwell is also working on obtaining permits for the demolition of the Griro Tower, the 15-storey tower, which will be replaced with a new building.
Real estate plans for this land are to build 2,000 apartments, 60,000 sqm of office space and services. The value of the investment will be around EUR 500 million.
