Sphera Franchise Group, which owns the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell franchises in Romania, and KFC in the Republic of Moldova and Italy, closed the first half with consolidated sales of RON 444.5 million, up 46 percent, and a net profit of RON 5.2 million, compared to losses of RON 22 million in H1 2020.
In H1 2021, Sphera opened 4 new restaurants – 2 KFC restaurants in Romania, 1 KFC restaurant in Italy, and 1 Taco Bell restaurant in Romania. At the same time, in Romania, a Pizza Hut Delivery restaurant was closed.
Currently, Sphera operates 161 restaurants, of which 140 are based in Romania, 19 KFC restaurants in Italy and 2 in Moldova.
