Spider Group broke ground on a new tea factory in Pitomaca, northern Croatia. The company already has one tea factory in the country and plans to double its workforce to more than 300 employees with the opening of its second location, valued at €4m. Half of the project costs will be financed by the EU. Spider currently exports around 80 percent of its products, including to Coop and Lidl in Italy as well as Hofer Austria, Auchan Russia and Aldi France. Completion of the new plant is scheduled for the beginning of 2019.
