Sports HUB, a non-governmental organization focused on developing sports and educational programs, is setting up its new headquarters at YUNITY Park, an office campus owned by Genesis Property, one of Romania’s leading office space owners. The organization, known for initiating the GO Scholarship program, will occupy 770 square meters in YUNITY Park’s Building G. This move comes as part of a larger plan, with Genesis Property investing over €50 million to establish a new innovation center within the campus.
The GO Scholarship program, spearheaded by Sports HUB, aims to nurture future Romanian Olympic athletes by bringing together top experts in various sports disciplines. This initiative aligns with Genesis Property’s broader strategy to support the younger generation through programs that emphasize collaboration, face-to-face interaction, and work-life balance.
“Genesis Property’s motto, ‘Hospitality for global talents,’ perfectly captures the partnership we envision with our tenants. Sports HUB fits seamlessly into our long-term vision and the innovative YUNITY concept. Sport is a vital sector of society, and we are excited to support the association’s efforts in advancing sports performance while continuing our own contributions in this area,” stated Liviu Tudor, President of Genesis Property.
Sports HUB collaborates with renowned Romanian athletes, including handball star Cristina Neagu, Olympic fencer Ana Maria Brânză, soccer player Radu Drăgușin, and canoeist Cătălin Chirilă, to develop programs that combine sports excellence with educational growth.
“GO Scholarship was created to provide young athletes with the best resources to complement their sports and educational training. We’ve brought together top specialists from various key areas to help Romania’s most talented athletes achieve outstanding results. Our new home in YUNITY Park will be instrumental in achieving our long-term goals,” said Virgil Stănescu, President of Sports HUB.
Recently, during an event at YUNITY Park’s amphitheater, the GO Scholarship program announced the selection of a new cohort of 75 talented athletes from a rigorous three-month process that evaluated 94 candidates. The selected athletes represent 16 different sports, including athletics, basketball, cycling, football, gymnastics, handball, and fencing, among others.
YUNITY Park offers a unique office experience, combining workspaces with an urban forest featuring over 220 trees. Employees can work outdoors, with access to 125 power outlets, or relax on the 2-kilometer pedestrian pathways. The campus also hosts frequent sports, social, and cultural events in its 1,500-capacity outdoor amphitheater. The project is nearing completion, with the final phase including the opening of the Innovation Center in Building G. Genesis Property has also committed to using 100% renewable energy across all its buildings, including YUNITY Park.
