Stada Romania, a subsidiary of the German group of the same name, has completed about 70 percent of the investment of more than EUR 50 million in a new medicine factory built in Turda, Cluj county. Site works started a year ago and the company wants to produce the first boxes of medicines in 2024.
“We are pleased with how the work has gone in the first year and proud that our partners in Cluj are on schedule, with work progressing at an average of 70 percent. Here we are, despite the geopolitical context in the region and the economic context globally, we are sticking to our development plans as announced. Both in terms of investment plans in Turda and in terms of developing the product portfolio available for patients in Romania and the team,” said Mihai Fugarevici, CEO of Stada Romania.
The investment of more than EUR 50 million is a project from scratch, supported in part by state aid from the Government of about EUR 21 million. The Noerr team, a law and consultancy company, assisted Stada in obtaining the state aid.
