State Street, a NYSE listed financial services provider has opened a shared service center in the Alchemia office building in Gdańsk, taking 14,000 sqm of space. As many as 1,000 new jobs could be created by what’s being touted as one of the largest investments of its kind in Poland. The company employs roughly 30,000 workers in 29 countries through four divisions: Global Services, Global Advisors, Global Exchange and Global Markets. State Street currently has more than USD 28bn of assets under management.
