State Tribunal’s Kaczynski investigation postponed

19 March 2012

The decision to call Jarosław Kaczyński and Zbigniew Ziobro before Poland’s State Tribunal has been postponed. The two opposition leaders are being investigated for their potential involvement in the suicide death of Barbara Blida, as it followed a search by police of her home in Siemianowice Ślaskie. Blida had been suspected of taking a bribes in what became known as the “coal mafia” affair. The current ruling party believes that the former prime minister Jarosław Kaczyński and his then-Minister of Justice have been somehow responsible for the tragedy.
