Stellar to build $19.7m Flagler College dorm

10 March 2016

Jacksonville-based Stellar has won a tender to build a dormitory at Flagler College in St. Augustine. The $19.75 million investment will include a three story, 66,500 sq ft building at 1 Malaga St. with 148 rooms and a five-level precast concrete parking garage for 559 cars. The dorm was designed by PQH Architects, and will have a Spanish mission style to complement the surrounding architectural environment of St. Augustine. The project is slated to wrap up by August 2017.

“We’re honored to partner with Flagler College on such an iconic project,” said Richard Lovelace, Stellar’s commercial group senior vice president in a news release. “While safety is always critical in any construction project, it is especially important when young people will be nearby while construction is ongoing.”
