The work`s value performed by the Austrian construction group Strabag in Romania grew in the first quarter to € 41.2 m, from € 15 m in the same period last year.
The contracts portfolio decreased though in the first quarter compared with last year, from € 573 m to € 556 m.
Compared to € 372 m in March last year, Strabag contracts portfolio in Romania rose by 50 percent, according to the group financial report.
The number of employees rose to about 1400 in the first quarter, from 1160 in March last year and 1,300 late last year.
As a group, Strabag has recorded a loss of € 150.6 m, 28 percent up from the € 117.5 m in the same period last year. The orders portfolio raised by 3 percent in the analyzed period, to € 15.7 bn, a new record for the Austrian manufacturer.
