Strabag, Koncar KET to build hydropower plant at Vranduk

The energy company Elektroprivreda BiH Sarajevo signed a contract for construction of the Vranduk hydropower plant with a consortium between Strabag AG Austria and Koncar – Engineering for Energy and Transport dd Croatia (Koncar – KET). The two companies were chosen on the basis of an international public tender.

HPP Vranduk will have a total capacity 20 MW, with the annual output generated expected to reach 96.38 GWh. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) will fund construction of the facility, which will cost around €63.5m.
