Strabag signed a deal with Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Highways (GDDKiA) to construct a stretch of the Kraków S7 expressway called Trasa Nowohucka. The contract is worth €128m and involves the construction of the 18.6 km stretch and the renovation of a 4.5 km three-lane expressway with two carriageways. Strabag will also build a 1.6 km section of Route 79, including on- and off-ramps, six flyovers and five bridges. The tram tracks will also be upgraded. Construction is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2014.
