Stricter rules for real estate agents are due to take effect in February . The new law on offering real estate for sale or to rent on a professional basis will require agents have completed a legal or economic degree or else prove they have at least three years of experience in the sector. Those who lack the proper education will have to take courses offered by the Association of Real Estate Agencies and pass a test. The rules will apply to all active agents who have until June to register with the business office and submit documents proving the proper qualifications.
