Against the background of the increased demand generated by the return of students, the prices requested for the apartments for rent in the large university centers tend to increase since July, unlike in previous years, according to the platform imobiliare.ro.
Cluj-Napoca ranks first in the ranking of the highest average rental prices, surpassing the Capital for prices for one- and two-room apartments. At the opposite pole, among the five large regional centers analyzed, Timișoara has the most affordable housing available for rent.
Also, demand in the rental segment increased considerably this summer. The biggest increase occurred in Bucharest, where the number of rent-related searches increased by 24.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
In Bucharest, the average amount requested for a studio apartment reached EUR 283 in August 2022, up by 8 percent, from the level of EUR 260 per month recorded in the similar period of 2021.
