The State Railway Directorate (Správa železniční dopravní cesty, SŽDC) has chosen Sudop to prepare the documentation for reconstruction of Negrelliho viaduct, a key railway bridge running through the center of Prague and across the Vltava river. Sudop Praha was awarded the order worth CZK 55m, while a tender for the general contractor should follow shortly. Work on the historic 1,100 m bridge’s reconstruction should start in 2015. Repairs of the Negrellilho viaduct would cut off train connections between Prague Bubny and the Masarykovo Railway Station for two years. Preparation for the investment began five years ago but were halted because of a lack of funds.
