Sun & Snow has begun implementing remote control of heating in the facilities it manages. The savings that the new system can bring to apartment owners are expected to be as high as 40 percent. The operator’s project team says it wants to complete work on implementing the new system by the end of this year.

Sun & Snow began work on implementing the remote heating system with the end of the high summer season. Preparations are currently underway for the operation, which is being prepared in consultation with apartment owners. According to the solution provider’s statement, the solution is expected to bring 25 to 40 percent savings, which means that the return on investment will be even within 1-2 years.

“The use of automation will translate into lower energy consumption, more efficient operation of heating equipment and its longer life. The ecological aspect of this solution is also extremely important to us, with the ever-increasing threats that affect the environment around us,” says Aleksandra Mokrogulska, Director of Sun & Snow’s Project Office.

The new functionality, which will translate into the maintenance costs of the apartments, is another step towards automating the processes involved in servicing the apartments, implemented by Sun & Snow. Earlier this year, the operator introduced the ability to automatically and remotely check in to serviced apartments. In addition, guests can make reservations 24 hours a day from their smartphone. Using online check-in, they go through the entire process – from selecting an apartment, signing the necessary documents, payment, to receiving instructions and an entry code. Online check-in has already been introduced in more than 80 percent of the apartments operated by Sun & Snow.

The new heating control system, will be fully automated and will ensure that the apartment is prepared for the arrival of guests in terms of optimal temperature. A specially developed algorithm will be responsible for temperature control, monitoring both the temperature at particular times of the day and the potential presence of guests in the facility.

“Preparing a comfortable apartment for the arrival of guests is one of the most important elements in our business related to serving tourists. We are constantly working to improve quality in this area. Thanks to the automatic heating management system, our guests will be guaranteed thermal comfort from the first minutes of their stay. In addition, apartment owners will be assured that we also take care of operating costs, not wasting energy on heating empty units that are just waiting for tourists to check in.” – Aleksandra Mokrogulska adds.

As the operator declares – the new system is expected to be implemented later this year, and the first installation work will begin in the coming weeks.

Sun & Snow this year has added more than 400 new apartments to its offerings, which are available in Poland’s largest independent reservation system. This means that it remains one of the largest operators of its kind in our country. Recently, the company’s offer has expanded to include units in Warsaw. It also plans to acquire new locations in Wrocław, Toruń and Poznań. A new segment – “slow” – has also been introduced to the offer, focusing on vacation homes, available both at the seaside and in the mountains or Masuria.
