Atlanta-based SunTrust Bank has renewed its 44,261 square foot lease at 1445 New York Avenue in Northwest Washington, DC. This 125-year-old, 158,000 square foot building is situated directly across the street from the U.S. Treasury and White House. The building served as headquarters for National Savings & Trust Company for more than 80 years until SunTrust acquired one of National Savingsā successors, Crestar Financial, in 1985. Managing Director Matt Sullivan and Senior Vice President Jenna Polivka of Cushman & Wakefield represented SunTrust Bank in the transaction.
