Construction started on a national supercomputer center called IT4Innovations in Ostrava. The center will house the supercomputer currently located at the Technical University in Ostrava and work as a scientific research lab, serving medical doctors, businesses and car manufacturers. The project will cost CZK 2bn, the majority of which will be financed with EU funds. The 500 sqm center is scheduled for completion in March.
