Surjány-Hús Ltd. has created 150 new jobs with a HUF 1.3bn into its meat packing plant in southern Hungary.The company is among the five largest in the Hungarian meat industry, with net revenues in 2011 of HUF 17bn. Rural Development Minister, Sándor Fazekas emphasized how important the meat industry’s adaptability is, due to changing consumer habits, and added that Surjány-Hús was a good example for others to follow. The company, based in southern Hungary, already employs 680 jobs, but it plans to enter the international meat market in the near future.
