A consortium between Swietelsky and WHB signed a contract worth almost HUF 9bn to renovate a landmark bazaar at the foot of Budapest’s Castle Hill. The consortium will build an underground garage at the site as well as a tram stop and an escalator to take visitors to Buda Castle. The contract was signed with Várgondoksag Nonprofit and the District I local council. The project is expected to be completed by the spring of 2014.
