Swiss Krono Group to build new plant in Hungary

23 February 2015

Interpsan, a part of Swiss Krono Group, is planning to start construction on a €95m particle board plant in Vásárosnamény this spring. Completion is set for the second quarter of 2016. The new plant will be able to produce 280,000 cubic meters of oriented strand board per year. Wood for the plant will come from Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine. The plant will create more than 100 jobs. Swiss Krono Group made one of its first investments outside of Switzerland in Vásárosnamény in 1989, but it eventually closed the base due to poor economic conditions.
