Syscom 18 lands €3m contract in Iraq

In a contract worth €3m, the Romanian company Syscom 18 will provide parts and 40 fiscal metering systems for two power plants in Iraq. Syscom 18 specializes in industrial automation equipment and measuring system for the oil and gas industry.

The company expects to integrate the systems in the Iraqi thermal power plants by the second half of next year. These plants have 1,000-megawatt capacities. Once Syscom 18 finishes installing its systems into the plants, Iraq will be able to increase its power output by 20 percent.

Syscom 18 reported a 20-percent increase in revenue during the first nine months of 2012.
