The office take up figures in Lisbon for the first quarter of 2016 increased by 14 percent y-o-y with 44 deals completed. It was less than the 68 that were concluded in the first three months of 2015, but the average size of the deals increased. Things were particularly busy in the prime areas of Zone 1, where 7,240 sqm of space was leased, but all of the city’s zones registered more than 5,000 sqm in take up (except the areas 4 and 5) where there is virtually no supply. “The first quarter of this year leads us to predict a positive year,” says Pedro Salema Garção, Head of Agency of Worx. Take up higher than last year, with fewer transactions, which shows that the market continues.”
