According to a report by RealtyTrac, the greater Tampa area boasted the nation’s sixth highest rate of foreclosure for the month of November. One home in every 512 is being foreclosed on, a frequency which has actually decreased 30 percent since the same month a year ago. Florida’s overall foreclosure rate in November was one in every 662 housing units, the third highest in the nation. The top five metro foreclosure rates belong to Atlantic City, N.J., Trenton, N.J., Ocala, Baltimore, and Reading, Pa., according to the report. Jacksonville and Daytona Beach also are in the top 10.
