Miami developer Related Group has asked the city of Tampa to rezone the Tampa Tribune’s 4.4-acre site. Located at 202 S. Parker St. the developer is seeking to build an eight story residential building with 400 units on the site, along with a 10,000 square-foot restaurant space and a six story parking garage. Related anticipates the full build out to be completed in 2017.
The developer hopes to close on the property in early 2016 and is negotiating a sale and leaseback deal with the Tribune, to give the paper time to make alternative arrangements for its printing presses located on the site.
