Panattoni completed the second phase of Tchibo’s distribution center at its park in Cheb. The newly opened center, offering 73,000 sqm of logistics space, is the second largest distribution center the developer built in the Czech Republic, and Tchibo’s largest distribution center in the CEE region. The investment, totaling CZK 1.6bn, created 348 new jobs. Logistics provider Geis operates the center for Tchibo, which has processed 1 million parcels since opening the 39,000 sqm first phase in December 2016. Panattoni Europe developed the center in cooperation with the investor Accolade. The center services the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland and southern Germany. It has the capacity to dispatch 25,000 parcels daily and has cut delivery time from four to six days to one to three days for Czech customers. The second phase accounts for 25 percent of the total logistics space completed in the Czech Republic in H1 2017.
