Telenor is planning major investments in Serbia in 2019, according to company officials, who predict they will pump over €100m into their business. The funds will go into infrastructure, upgrading its mobile internet, the development of digital technology and network capacities and innovations. Currently Telenor Serbia employs more than 900 people but there are plans afoot to increase staffing levels during 2019. In 2018, the Czech financial group PPF bought Telenor subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe for €2.8bn.
