The number of employees being hired on a temporary period has been increasing from year to year in Romania, as companies discover the advantages of this type of cooperation. In 2011, over 55,000 people were hired on temporary jobs, 10 percent more than in 2010, according to estimates made by experts Accace, a leading Central and Eastern Europe company in financial management. The increasing number of temporary employees will also be encouraged by the Labor Code modification operated in 2011. Temporary employees must receive the same salary level as a permanent staff members performing the same or similar type of work.
