Ten Brinke plans to build a retail park in the 40,000 sqm Kaufhalle area in Lahr located in south-western Baden-Württemberg. The project is worth €30m. Tobias Kocherscheidt, Ten Brinke’s regional manager for the southwest, said around 16,500 sqm of rental area is planned for the new center in the Mietersheim District. Among the tenants in the retail park will be brands like Obi and Rewe. The occupancy rate is just under 80 percent. Demolition of the existing complex is to begin this autumn, and construction work will be get underway in the second quarter of 2015.
