TenarisSilcotub has completed the certification process for its new production line for the automotive industry. Following an investment of USD 5.5 million, the company has, in its factory in Zalău, a line of components for airbags, unique in Europe, in which the testing of components is 100% automated. In the last 10 years, Tenaris has invested over USD 15 million in Zalău in production lines, equipment and technology for the manufacture of products and components for the automotive industry. With a team of over 1,500 people in Romania, TenarisSilcotub has production units in Zalău, Călărași and Câmpina.
