The Cluj County Council has greenlighted expansion and modernization plans for the Tetarom I industrial park. The project is expected to cost RON 42m, 50 percent of which will be covered by EU funds. The park will be expanded by 16.8 acres. SC ACI SA Cluj, SC Nord Conforest SA and SC Electromontaj SA will oversee construction. Vakar Istvan, vice president of the Cluj County Council, said construction will take 17 months. Tetarom I will offer 320,000 sqm of space once the extension is completed. The park’s current tenants include EnergoBit, Banca Transilvania, RCC Consult and Design Development.
