Tar Heel Capital (THC) has set up a second fund dedicated to small- and medium-sized Polish businesses. So far, fund managers have raised €50m for new investments in the industry service and new technology sectors. THC entered the Polish investment market in 1998, managing portfolios for companies like Euroad, Radpol and Metaplast. At the time, THC invested more than $50m in the regional market. “We managed to convince investors to put their money on Poland,” said Grzegorz Bielowski, partner at THC. “GDP for Poland has been growing in the last few years, which proves the country is developing.”
