Jiřina Lužová, the insolvency administrator of Sberbank CZ, today announced the launch of a tender procedure for the sale of another part of the tangible movable assets belonging to the bank’s assets, the subject of the offer being furniture, mainly from the bank’s former branches. The settlement of the sale is expected by the end of October.
“In addition to tenders for the sale of IT equipment and ATMs, we are launching a tender for the sale of furniture from the bank’s branches and the remaining part of modern office furniture from the former headquarters in the Aviatica building,” Lužová said.
Potential bidders for the purchase of the aforementioned tangible assets must express their interest in participating in the tender. On the basis of the expression of interest and the fulfilment of specified conditions, the bidders will be entitled to submit an offer for the purchase of the property.
The Prague City Court declared bankruptcy on Sberbank CZ at the end of last August. The CNB finally revoked the bank’s banking licence in early May and the Prague City Court then sent the bank into liquidation. The CNB initiated the steps to revoke the licence on 28 February 2022. The reason was the deterioration of Sberbank CZ’s situation due to the outflow of deposits after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
