OSF Global Services and Webhelp opened offices in Iasi and Ploiesti with The Advisers / Knight Frank consultancy. The leader of the office leasing market has seen an increase in demand for office space in major cities throughout Romania.
OSF extended on 1,100 sq m in United Business Center from Iasi, whilst, after successfully expanding Webhelp headquarters in Bucharest, The Advisers / Knight Frank intermediated the opening of their operations in Ploiesti on 800 sq m in Hippodrome Office Center. This is the 4th Romanian center of Webhelp, the multinational company which specializes in outsourcing, with over 22,000 employees worldwide and over 1,400 in Romania, located in Bucharest, Ploiesti and Galati.
This grown interested for cities such as Iasi, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara is due to lower payroll costs for young, educated work force, business expansion strategies, operational needs in serving local clients.
In recent years, the supply of class A office space has become more generous throughout the country. For 2014, projects totaling approximately 50,000 sq m are announced in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara. They add to a collective stock of approximately 440,000 sq m of office space in Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara and Brasov. Regarding transport, most cities targeted by companies are reachable by plane, while cities like Ploiesti and Brasov are close enough to the capital to be accessed by car.
