The Chinese company Topband announced that it wants to make an investment in Timișoara worth USD 30 million, where it will produce intelligent electronic controllers. The future factory will have an area of 12,000 sqm, with the possibility of expanding to 25,000 sqm, and an annual production of 9 million pieces.
In a first phase, they will hire 300 people, and at maximum capacity the factory will need about 1,000 employees, anticipating a production of 9 million pieces per year. Topband is present in China, India and Vietnam, and after Romania will open production units in Mexico.
