The Cordish Companies started construction on a $150m Live! Casino project located 30 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 100,000 sq ft facility will be part of the larger 1.3 million sq ft Westmoreland Mall development. The gaming site will feature 750 slots, around 30 game tables, a Sportsbook as well as nationally-recognized restaurants and live entertainment venues. The scheme is expected to generate about 960 direct and indirect construction jobs and approximately 500 permanent new jobs for local and regional residents.
