The Haskell Co has won a contract to build and design a $22m helicopter operations facility at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The 66,000 square foot facility will house the 1st Helicopter Squadron and the 811th Operation Support Squadron. The structure will have administrative offices for both organizations, briefing rooms, a mission control and planning center, as well as flight simulators. Construction of the two story, LEED Silver certified building is expected to begin in July and be completed by the end of the 2016.
