The Ministry of Finance has announced that the “New Home” programme will continue in 2024, with a guarantee ceiling of RON 1 billion. Last year, a total of 1,940 guarantees worth a total of RON 245 million were granted, with a loan value of approximately RON 485.5 million.
The “New Home” programme was mainly accessed by young people aged between 26 and 35, with most of the loans being requested for the purchase of an apartment, with a surface area of between 50-100 sqm, priced between EUR 50,000 – 100,000.
“New Home” 2024 is granted in RON, for the purchase of a single dwelling, and the maximum loan amount is: EUR 66,500 – for dwellings priced up to EUR 70,000, with a 5 percent down payment; EUR 119,000 – for dwellings priced up to EUR 140,000, with a 15 percent down payment.
