The rough construction of the theater in Jizdecka street, that has the potential to become one of the most dominant buildings in Pilsen, is completed and work on the facade is beginning. The investor of the project is the City of Pilsen and is tied to the construction of the theater in the frame work of the European City of Culture 2015 project. The new theater is to take the place of the current unsatisfactory chamber theater in Prokopova street and will become the first newly build theater in the Czech Republic in the last 30 years. The building is expected to be fully operational at the beginning of the 2014/2015 season.
