Number of apartments whose construction started in August this year. grew by 23.2% y / y and amounted to 23,971, and in monthly terms it fell by 7.5%, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported.
In the group of developers there was an increase in the number of flats under construction – by 27.9% y / y to 14,031 units, and a decrease of 6.8% on a monthly basis, the Office also reported.
In the period January-August 2021, the construction of 194.5 thousand apartments was started, i.e. by 37.8% more than the year before. Developers started the construction of 116.8 thousand apartments (by 52.0% more), and investors 74.400 individuals (20.2% more). The total share of these forms of construction amounted to 98.3% of the total number of flats.
It is estimated that at the end of August 2021, 880.500 sqm were under construction. dwellings, i.e. 6.1% more than in the corresponding month of 2020, the Office also reported.
