The residential market registered 67,816 homes last year, increasing by 304 homes compared to 2019. In total, 42,238 homes were completed last year in cities, up 1649 units, and in rural areas 25,578 homes, with 1345 more fewer than in 2019. 66,035 units were raised from private funds, and the remaining 1781 homes were built from public funds. Almost a third of the total number of dwellings completed last year are in Bucharest-Ilfov, respectively 30 percent of the national total.
