As we predicted, the summer was hot – and not just because of the large amount of work! We hope that all of you who were in Prague during late July and early August managed to cope with the heat.
Meanwhile, back in WP Towers, things were fairly frenetic, with the highlight being the closing of the Savarin Palac transaction for Ballymore Properties to Crestyl; after months of hard work things were finally wrapped up at the end of July. WP also managed to close several other transactions in July and August including 4 financings, 2 corporate transactions, and 4 other real estate deals.
The rest of August and early September continued warm, with several transactions coming to fruition, not just in Prague, but also in Slovakia, where we have had one of our best years so far from a transactional perspective.
Early September saw a team from WP taking part in the JLL Charity Volleyball Tournament in Zluty Lazne, and on a more serious note September will also see several WP partners and senior lawyers attending CEDEM in Prague. We will be featuring more news on our CSR programme and other activities in the coming months.
Have a great rest of the summer and remember, if it is hot… ‘he who cannot put his thoughts on ice should not enter into the heat of dispute’!
