The custom furniture production factory THETA Furniture & More has officially opened its doors in Păulești, Prahova County, following an investment of approximately EUR 4 million, of which EUR 1,200,000 in machinery and software alone. The land on which the unit is located covers an area of 5,000 sqm and includes the production factory, the related storage spaces and its own car park.
The company’s turnover, which started with an investment of only EUR 40,000, reached EUR 10 million in 2021.
“We produce medium to high, so we always take the materials we use from Western Europe or locally – Kronospan and Egger,” said Florin Gheorghe, CEO of THETA Furniture. He emphasized that the restrictions on exports of raw materials for the furniture industry imposed on Russia and Belarus did not affect the company.
In terms of expansion plans in other countries, in 2021 the company signed a contract in Belgium for a 50,000 sqm hospital in Charleroi, a project that amounts to almost EUR 8 million.
