Travel operator Thomas Cook has retained a hotel sourcing partnership with Webjet, whose European online business Sunhotels will be sourcing and contracting hotels that suit Thomas Cook’s business scheme. In return Thomas Cook will transfer 3,000 hotel contracts to Sunhotels’ database, which currently stands at 75,000 hotels across the world. The 75,000 hotels Sunhotels has contracted will also be offered to Thomas Cook as part of the agreement. No financial details of the agreement were disclosed.
Thomas Cook and Sunhotels are already working together in the Nordic markets. The company has said that this new partnership will help it expand its operations by offering a larger variety of hotels, offer more options to its clients, and create a more user-friendly website that will also deliver cost savings to the company.
